At Café Joost, close to the Dom Tower in the centre of Utrecht, you don't hire a function room – the whole pub is yours. That gives you a traditional brown café in Utrecht all to yourself, perfect for private drinks, a party or any other event.

Café Joost is a popular event venue in Utrecht for company drinks, birthdays and other private parties. From an informal farewell for a colleague to a pub quiz, Christmas or New Year's drinks or classic Friday afternoon drinks (vrijmibo): you'll have the entire pub to yourselves.
Want to celebrate your birthday in Utrecht, organise company drinks or an office party or host another private party? Café Joost offers a warm and welcoming setting right in the city centre, for up to 50 guests.
We work with a minimum spend that depends on how long your party lasts, with a weekend surcharge on Friday and Saturday evenings. Business groups can put together their own package for a fixed price per person, so you always stay within budget. No deposit is required. See our prices (in Dutch).

Use our online booking tool (in Dutch) to put together your package and let us know your preferred date. We'll get back to you within two days (often much sooner) to let you know what's possible.

Your guests can relax and enjoy their drinks all evening. The bartender keeps track of the drinks and snacks ordered, based on our price list. Choose drinks on consumption or an all-in package.

You'll receive the bill at the end of the party and can pay by card. Booked a business package? Then you can also pay by invoice.
